- No talking during the movie unless you’re inside your car with the windows closed – consider it like a normal movie theater.
- DRIVE SLOWLY! Kids are often running around after shows – drive SLOWLY and CAREFULLY when entering and exiting! 5 MPH speed limit.
- No outside food or drink besides water, and especially no glass at a drive-in. Support a local small business by buying your concessions here! We offer an assortment of popcorn, candy, sodas, and water.
- Hatchback doors must not exceed the roofline of your vehicle. Rope is available at concessions if you need to tie it down. If you want to watch out of your hatchback with the door fully open, you will need to buy a large car slot even if you have a small car.
- Car lights must be off once the movie starts.
- You will be given one warning before being required to leave without a refund.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We have two locations so please be aware of that when purchasing tickets!
Twisted X Brewing Company
23455 Ranch to Market Rd 150
Dripping Springs, TX 78620
Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms
10621 Pioneer Farms Drive
Austin, TX 78754
Q: How can I buy tickets?
A: Tickets are available online only – check out our calendar here! Each car slot includes one adult admission and you can add on tickets for any additional passengers.
Q: What size car slot should I buy?
A: Compact cars and sedans should buy small car slots. Small SUVs (Ford Escape, RAV 4, etc.) can buy medium size car slots. Trucks, mini-vans, and large SUVs should buy large vehicle slots. Consider the height of your vehicle when buying your ticket. If you’re not sure, just ask!
Q: What is a “Bring Your Own Chair” spot?
A: Get the best seat in the house! Typically we reserve our front row for small cars, but we are now opening those spots up to picnic-style seating. Bring camping chairs and blankets and see the big screen up-close. This is perfect if we are sold out of large/medium car spots or if you have small kids who might have trouble seeing in the back rows. We have speakers outside and you can check out a small radio to hear the audio.
Q: How can we hear the audio?
A: You can tune into 107.3 FM on your car radio. We do have some big speakers playing the audio outside, but since there are neighborhoods nearby we can’t be too loud. We have small portable radios to lend out if you can’t hear the speakers outside.
Q: Do you sell food?
A: We have a concessions stand with popcorn, boxed movie candy, snacks, sodas, and water. We accept cash and all major credit cards. There is also a food truck at the Dripping Springs location.
Q: Can we bring our own food?
A: No outside food or beverage is allowed. We appreciate you supporting a local small business by buying your concessions here! Absolutely no glass is allowed in the theater.
Q: I already bought a car slot but I need to add an additional passenger – what do I do?
A: No problem! You can purchase an add-on ticket at our concessions stand, just let us know you have an extra person at check-in. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can send you an invoice to pre-pay.
Q: Can we watch out of the rear hatch of our vehicle?
A: If you buy a small or medium car slot, you can keep your hatchback open as long as the rear door does not exceed the roofline of your vehicle. We really only enforce this rule if your car is blocking the view of any cars behind you. We have rope available at the concessions stand if you need to tie down your rear door. If you can’t see with your hatchback door tied down we can try moving you to the back row if there is availability.
Q: Can we sit outside our vehicle?
A: Yes – but! We plan our parking spots around people being inside their cars and sitting up a little higher. If you sit out on chairs on a busy night (Friday & Saturday) we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see if you are in a large car spot. Generally people in medium or small car slots have a great view. We do our best to accommodate all our guests but if you can’t see and there are no spots left you need to be prepared to watch from inside your car.
Q: Can we bring our dog?
A: If your dog is quiet and remains inside your vehicle, feel free to bring Fido along. If your pup is loud or aggressive, we will have to ask you to leave and no one wants that!
Q: Is a restroom available?
A: In Dripping Springs the bathrooms are located inside of Twisted X. In North Austin, we have a porta-potty available in the theater area. If you’re too fancy for a porta-potty, bathrooms are located inside of Pioneer Farms but it’s a bit of a hike. We should have easier access to the bathrooms in the future so we hopefully won’t need the porta-potty for very long!
Q: I bought tickets but won’t be able to make it – can I get a refund?
A: All sales are final. We will do our best to try to reschedule you for the same movie if possible.
Q: What happens if my show is canceled due to weather?
A: Central Texas normally has beautiful weather, but occasionally we might need to cancel if it is unsafe to use our equipment. Our equipment can stand up to some light drizzle, but if it is raining hard then the show will be canceled. In the event of a weather cancellation we will try to reschedule the movie to another night or refund you. We will call you before showtime to see what you want to do.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Pillows, blankets, and camping chairs can really help elevate your viewing experience! If you plan to sit outside, bring a portable radio if you have one.
